Follow these steps

  1. Open the inventory and go to Custom fields or the product details area.
  2. Add or enable the Minimum stock alert product field.
  3. To set the value manually, open each product in Product Details and enter the threshold value there.
  4. To update many products at once, use the top-right menu and choose Import Update > Import to import the threshold values in bulk.
  5. Review the product list or alert surfaces when stock drops below the threshold.

The alert depends on current stock

The threshold is only useful when the inventory already tracks current stock accurately through stock management or counting flows.

  • Make sure the products already exist in the inventory.
  • Decide the minimum stock threshold you want to monitor for each product.
