Automatically export inventories to Google Drive so you keep recurring spreadsheet backups outside the app.

Before you start

  • Use Android with a Google Account already signed in on the device.
  • Make sure the inventory data you want to back up can already be exported manually.
  • Confirm that Google Drive is available on the device before you connect the feature.

Steps

  1. Open the app and go to the Google Drive auto-export option.
  2. Sign in to your Google Account and grant the Drive permission requested by the app.
  3. Let the app create the Mobile Inventory folder in Google Drive.
  4. Keep the feature enabled so the app can export inventory files to that Drive folder from time to time.

The app only manages its own export files

Mobile Inventory creates and updates the files it exports to the Drive folder it manages. It does not need access to the rest of your private files.

What happens next

After the connection is complete, the app writes exported inventory files into the Mobile Inventory folder in Google Drive during its scheduled export cycle.
