New Feature: Inventory Value

We’re excited to announce a powerful new feature in our mobile inventory app: Inventory Value. This feature will be available starting from version 6.2p – Mont-Rebei, providing users with valuable insights into their inventory’s financial worth.

What is Inventory Value?

Inventory Value is a calculation that shows the total monetary value of your current stock. This feature allows you to quickly assess the value of your inventory, helping you make informed decisions about stock management and financial planning.

How It Works

1. Enabling the Feature: To use this new feature, go to your app settings and toggle on “Show the inventory value”.
2. Viewing Inventory Value: Once enabled, you’ll see the inventory value displayed at the top of your product list.
3. Calculation Method: The inventory value is calculated as follows:
   • For each product: Stock Value = Price per product * Total stock
   • The total Inventory Value is the sum of all product stock values in the filtered list.
4. Multiple Price Types: The app supports multiple product prices, such as “Purchase price” and “Price of sale”. You can view separate inventory values for each price type.
5. Filtering Options: You can filter products by location to view the inventory value for specific areas of your business.

Key Points to Note

• The app displays multiple inventory values according to the different price types you’ve set up (e.g., purchase price, sale price).
• Each inventory value calculation uses its corresponding price type for the products.
• This feature provides a quick overview of your inventory’s worth from different perspectives (cost, potential revenue, etc.)
• To use this feature effectively, ensure you’ve added the relevant price fields to your product information.
