Main focus

Use Manage licenses to assign purchased or trial license seats to teammate email addresses, review used seats, or remove seats that should return to the team pool.

Before you startCheck account, license pack, email, and connection requirements
  • Sign in with the admin account that owns the license pack or team trial.
  • If Manage licenses only shows store or team trial options, activate a license pack before assigning seats.
  • Each teammate should use their own Mobile Inventory account. Do not share one admin account across the team.
  • Use the teammate's exact account email. If the account does not exist yet, the assignment can stay Pending until they create or sign in with that same email.
  • Assigning and removing licenses need an internet connection.
  • Licenses control paid feature access. Inventory sharing and per-inventory permissions are managed separately.

Quick path

Assign a license

Use this path when one teammate needs a license seat.

  1. Open Manage licenses from the mobile menu, or open Assign licenses to your team from your Web profile.
  2. Review the available seats for PRO, Scanner+, Premium, or any license shown on your account.
  3. Select Assign license, + Assign license, or the add button.
  4. Enter the teammate's exact account email, then choose the license seat.
  5. Save and confirm the row appears. If it is Pending, the teammate must sign in with that same email.

Choose what to assign

PRO
Assign this to teammates who need PRO features, shared-inventory work, or team workflows that require an active PRO license.
Scanner+
Assign this add-on only to users who need the enhanced mobile barcode scanner. It is separate from PRO.
Premium
Assign this only when your account includes Premium seats and the teammate needs the features covered by that license.
More than one license
A user may need multiple seats when their work requires more than one licensed feature, such as PRO access plus Scanner+.

Remove or reassign a license

  1. Open Manage licenses.
  2. Find the teammate or pending email address.
  3. Open that row's actions and remove the license that should no longer stay assigned.
  4. Confirm the seat count updates, then assign the available seat to another email if needed.

Licenses are not inventory permissions

Assigning a license gives the user access to licensed features. It does not automatically share an inventory or decide what the user can add, edit, export, or manage inside a shared inventory. Assignment states

Assigned
The license is linked to an active user account.
Pending
The license was assigned to an email address that is not active yet. The teammate should create or sign in with that exact email.
Available seats
Assigning a license uses one seat. Removing a license returns that seat to the team pool.
No active license pack
If the page asks you to buy licenses or start a team trial, the account is not ready to assign team seats yet.

Verify after changes

  • The teammate or pending email appears in the assigned license list.
  • The used-seat count changed as expected.
  • The teammate signs in with the same email address used for the assignment.
  • If they still cannot access the expected feature, ask them to reopen the app or refresh the Web app after the license change.
